Kids
Decorating kids rooms, while fun can also be a challenge - not least because the room will have to grow and change as they get older. To be sure you don't end up with a style that your son or daughter is going to quickly outgrow, follow these design basics: Choose flexible furnishings. Go with a style of furniture which has simple lines. That racing car bed is great for a 7-year-old, but by the time he's 13 it's going to be time to buy new furniture. Daybeds and oak wood are great choices for furniture, since they go well with any color and are suitable for kids of any age. Give them space to grow - children need plenty of room to move, play, store clothes and play with friends. Style with your kid in mind - a toddler requires lots of floor space for playing, while a teenager needs seating for much more adult pursuits such as visiting friends. Let the kids have some input into their room design. Allow them be creative and express their own personality by letting them choose some of the furnishings and colours in their room. Their personal space will evolve into an area that reflects their personality - and they may even keep it clean!
